  • Designing the Neo Px plant system

    Our one-of-its-kind air purification system is powered by microbiome engineering. It combines nature's air purifying bacteria with a Marble Queen Pothos houseplant, which is known for its natural air purifying abilities. We have also designed a Shell to enhance airflow and boost performance. Together, these parts create a unique plant-microbiome system, designed for optimal air purification.

  • The plant-microbiome relationship

    Like the good bacteria in your gut, a plant needs the right microorganisms to flourish. It grows and stays healthy thanks to this billion-strong community living on the leaves, around the roots and even inside it. Some of them also have an innate ability to use pollutants in the air as a food source, so we supercharged this natural capacity through a process called directed evolution.

  • Supercharging nature's air purifying bacteria

    Over 5 years of R&D, we bioengineered the highly effective pollutant-eating microorganisms. We meticulously tested and selected two bacterial strains and put them through multiple rounds of directed evolution. This triggered favorable mutations to drastically enhance their ability to metabolize pollutants and recycle them into useful matter, like sugar and amino acids.

  • From lab-engineered bacteria to Power Drops

    Our two microbial populations become highly specialized in transforming BTX into nutrients for the plant. We harvested, dehydrated and packaged it up for your home. Tiny yet powerful, we call our supercharged bacteria “Power Drops”.

The Shell maximizes air exchange, blending organic and technical elements. It features an eco-friendly PLA Flax shell, derived from renewable resources and biodegradable. Meticulously chosen for sustainability and performance, it offers a thoughtful, elegant addition to your interior space.

The Shell is designed to allow maximum air intake, bringing the polluted air in contact with the microbiome-rich soil while increasing root growth and Neo Px’s health.

Care

The Shell features a self-watering system including a water reservoir to maintain optimal health of the plant and provide you maximum convenience. You only have to water Neo Px once every 3 weeks during winter, and once every 2 weeks over summer.
